June 22 - Six months out

Our investigators are still doing great. Four came to church yesterday, which is a pretty big deal here. We were way excited about it. Also this strange guy we had talked to on the street came to church a little early to talk to us, but he didn't stay for the meeting. He was strange and thought we had connections with Obama, everyone here thinks we're friends with the President. We found out later, after he left, that one member actually works for him. He's like a millionaire and one of the richest guys in the city. So, we decided we'd pay him a visit. His house is huge. Well, it's way smaller than our house, but it's nice and huge for Ukraine.
We didn't meet with Tatyana during the week because she was sick, but she came to church yesterday. We taught her the Plan of Salvation and she committed to live the law of chastity and pay tithing. It was a great lesson and she's still on track to be baptized on July 4. She's doing her reading in the Book of Mormon and has already read like four Liahona's. Tomorrow we're teaching her Lesson 3 with the Word of Wisdom, so hopefully that'll be good too.
Tonight we have a family night with Kereal, Anya, and their grandparents again. He talked to his parents and we think he got permission to get baptized. We'll find out tonight if he will be on the 4th too, that would be so great. We met twice with this teacher whose husband of 33 years passed away 6 months ago, and she's been having a hard time. She was a member referral and she needs the church in her life. She read the proclamation to the Family, the Living Christ, proclamation to the world, and some scriptures. She said she 100% agrees with everything, but now that school's out she just wants to take a break from life and go down to the sea for a little bit. She wants to meet when she gets back, and I think she'll join the church then. She's a really nice lady and I know it would help her a lot. Vuta also came to church for the first time yesterday, but she could only stay for Sacrament. Our lesson with her on Friday was very eventful. We were teaching her Lesson 3 in the park and all was going well, until in the middle of the lesson, this lady asked to sit down by us because she wanted to sit in the shade. It was weird but we couldn't really say no. She started to ask us questions and be annoying. She moved to the bench opposite of us, right next to our investigator, so she could talk more. We told her we were teaching, so she stopped, but interrupted again to disagree with something we said, right when we started teaching again. She knew exactly what she was doing trying to ruin our lesson like that. We looked way better in front of our investigator than she did, because we refrained from arguing. We had to ask her to leave, but she wouldn't so we moved to a new spot. Other than that, the lesson was good. Everything is still great. Me and Elder Thompson are best friends and just like serving together. We had a party to celebrate my 6th month mark. We made a good dinner with the district and I totally failed in burning a tie.
